    Hi,

    Yesterday i passed my second MCP (270, passsed 290 in february). Do i get another welcome pack or certificate with this or do i only get the one?

    You only get a new certificate when you gain a new credential, eg: MCP, MCDST, MCSA, MCSE, MCTS, MCITP, etc.

    So in this case "no".

    he's just passed another MCP so yes he will get another certificate, unless i was special :p

    seriously though i received a certificate for each MCP i did along with an MCP, MCSA and MCSE id card

    Hmm I suppose if that was the case there is still time for me recieve another, despite contrary information on the microsoft website.

    Can anyone else chime in and confirm whether or not they have had this happen?

    there was a huge backlog and i had to wait 6 weeks, so maybe m$ decided to stop issuing them to reduce it

    They haven't done this for as long as I've been certifying, and that's since 1998.

    Keep in mind that each exam you take does NOT grant you an additional MCP certification. An MCP is an MCP is an MCP, whether you've passed one workstation OS exam, one server OS exam, one programming exam, or twenty different exams - you've still only got ONE MCP certification. You get the MCP with your first MCP exam, then you don't get another certification until you reach a whole new certification level (MCDST, MCTS, MCSA, etc.).

    The MCTS certifications are different... those ARE individual certifications that typically require only a single exam.
     
    Certifications: CISSP, MCSE+I, MCSE: Security, MCSE: Messaging, MCDST, MCDBA, MCTS, OCP, CCNP, CCDP, CCNA Security, CCNA Voice, CNE, SCSA, Security+, Linux+, Server+, Network+, A+
