you used to get all that stuff now if you want the certificate you have to download and I think you have to pay too.

I dont think you get the badge and any of that other useless **** anymore.

    See here for the benefits.

The lapel pin has been discontinued, the certification is free to download (but if you want a properly printed one from MS you have to pay for P&P) and as for the wallet card, I believe that has been discontinued as well (but you get a virtual business card).

So in a simpler way: Nothing.

For free you only get your prometric exam results. Rest you have to pay for (to save the environment, mind you)

You get certified as an MCP.
    Surely that's the whole point?

Mind you, the wallet card was handy for getting frost off the windscreen...

None of these things are what is important. The only thing you get of any importance is something you didn't mention: the ability to call yourself an MCP.

I got a pile of some 30 odd cards from back when they still offered them... I think the pins were discontinued before the cards were.

As the others have said, nothing, but a dictionary is free (http://dictionary.reference.com/) or if you prefer an offline one (http://wordweb.info/free/)

Just because it's an electronic interface doesn't mean u need to txt spek all the time, there's nothing more unprofessional and it's a bad habit that can slip in to emails that should be professional.

You're kidding right? I did mine for the lapel pin. It's a great little thing to use as a paperweight to hold down the post-it notes on my desk.

    The lapel pins were lethal.
Sharp along the edges, sharper at the corners and with a spike on the back.
The only use for them I can think of is some kind of covert office ninja style assasinations. :gos

Gotta move with the times and technology Jonny. You seem to have the old fashioned one then. Mine has the newer brainwave warping magnet on it. :scrambles You don't even have to clean it after.

As you said earlier, the wallet cards are fantastic for cleaning ice off the windshield. This morning I had to do just that. I'm glad I have it with me at all times.

You get Access to the Microsoft Shop Site, so you can buy a T-shirt with MCP across the front. You can then wear this t-shirt at various locations, and watch as your friends and gf/Wife distance themself away from you at social gatherings and you kids pretend your not their dad:)
