Over the last couple of days, MBNA Cardholders may have received official looking emails informing customers that due to changes made to online services to improve protection against fraud, members need to re-activate their accounts by clicking on a link provided.

PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS EMAIL, AND DO NOT FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS – IT IS A SCAM AND HAS NOT BEEN SENT OUT BY MBNA.

If you have reactivated your account in this manner, please contact MBNA immediately.

MBNA are aware of this matter, and have made every effort to email their members to inform them of this current scam.

See link for more details (this will take you to BBC news I promise!) - http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/3518411.stm
