macbook expert?

do we have any resident macbook experts by any chance?

I have a macbook running os x 10.8.2 at work, the user has brought it in as they are unable to access hotmail through any browser, tried safari, chrome, firefox, opera and all of them just give a blank page when trying to navigate to hotmail.

All other websites work fine, I do not at this time have another mac to try this on, I am tempted to be honest to just set it up through Apple Mail for hotmail and allow access that way as a workaround.

what about if the user tries outlook.com ?

 

also try installing the newest silverlight driver for mac

 

just tried that, no difference thanks though guys...

 

i'd be inclined to look at the mac version of the hosts file
