Hope that you're not charged for bandwidth by the connection - Yahoo's spider seems to be taking up an inordinate number of connections!

Only so much you can do about it.

Question is, is it a good thing or a bad thing...

It is supposed to be a good thing, gets your pages on their search engine for free, however if they go through a forum without any form of control in place they could end up in lifting up any personal info that may have been posted in a forum.

One other reason why you should not put your email address onto the forums in its proper format. :dry

Also theres the google adsense spider the MSNBot spider are all on the forum usually. You could control where the spider isnt allowed to access and how many connections its allowed by a robots.txt file
