I notice some of the privileges have a blank security setting, which i took to mean the operating system only (because administrators are listed elsewhere).

How do you know what groups are associated with these <blank> previleges? For example, <add workstation to domain> is blank, so by trial and error am exploring who could add to a domain and who couldn't.

There is some documentation on those default permissions floating around on the MS site somewhere. Try searching the KB. I know I have read it before, I just can't remember where I found it.

Great, will do. Fair play, i think the Kb and tech area of MS is quite useful.
