Been reading up on the cisco press BCMSN and the word legacy keeps cropping up here and there: Legacy systems, Legacy wiring, Legacy applications, Legacy ethernet ... etc ... etc.

The context in which they use the term gives me the impression they are talking about "old" or "established" or "existing". But I'm not sure.

    Does anyone know ?

    You are correct.

Infact if you install Vista dual boot with XP it classes XP as a Legacy OS. 8)
