    Hi All,

I have a laptop here with sound issues.
The problem appears to be the driver for the sound card/ Chipset (im not sure if its built in or not)
the driver frequently seems to uninstall itself and requires me to reinstall it in order to get sound working again.
Is this most likely caused by an update which thinks the driver is out of date?
The driver I am using is the official one from the laptop manufacturer website.

    Thanks

    Laptop Make?
    Laptop Model?
    Driver Version?

If you're looking for a more generic, broad answer then...

Uninstall the driver and any updates.
    Reboot.
Go to the Manufacturer's website and download and install the latest driver.

    *voila!*
