Just got home glad of the pass. I was 90% plus on the Trancenders but only just managed this one with 723 scored.

I found the way Microsoft worded a lot of the questions strange, and one or two just impossible to reach a correct conclusion.

Allowed 3 hours for exam, Sims were ok I thought. I am off out for a beer tonight. :D

Good job, wtjj. While Transcender is good, it will never completely duplicate the real exam. There will always be something on the exam that you haven't anticipated or is hard to understand. A pass is a pass, though. Well done. :D

I agree there. A pass is definately a pass.

With my 70-270 I got 700 exactly. Talk about close. :)

Congratz! Did you have any vb scripting in your exam? I've heard that this exam requires one to know about it. I'm trying to find out more info about this.

    Ohhhh, I didn't know that.

I've just finished watching the 70-290 Learnkey course, now it's on to the Microsoft Press book. But haven't come across any VB scripting yet . . .

Thanks to all you guys I had a nice beer and a meal last night. its a wek off study now then down to 291.

Reference VB Scripting there were none in the exam I took, but there a couple in the Trancenders to practice so I guess there could be in some to come. The ones in the Trancenders were a scenario where you had to pick out the incorrect lines of script, and a drag and drop exercise to create an OU and populate it with a user and stuff.

    Once again all thanks

    be back in touch soon

I find that as well but put it down to being written for and by American's. CompTIA are IMHO the worst for having poorly written and missleading exams...:x

I don't think it has anything to do with it being written for and by Americans because I'm an American and talked to others who have taken exams are there are quite a few questions that are just plain not understandable or are designed to be very hard to understand to get you to get the question wrong.

There has been many arguements over the years that Microsoft and other companies are writting questions that don't test your technical knowledge but how well you take exams and unstand how to work through trick questions and answers.

There are times that I question if the questions are being written by Americans or by anyone who's native language is English.

GW, I agree with part of what you say in terms that some of the questions are misleading or worded to catch people out. On the flipside I do think the exams are geared mainly for the American audience and therefore the terminology used is Americanised and difficult for others to understand as we use different words etc.
