Not too sure myself about the first q but it looks ok to me as I would have picked it too.

For the second, logs usually store a message of some sort telling you what happened, hence application, security, and event logs giving you messages about whats happening on the machine.

Check out the event viewer in the administrative tools to really see these in action.

 

For the first qn even i asnwered the same but the second one i think that choice is C.
