Well, the countdown is on - just booked my 70-272 exam for the end of March, so another 12 days of studying and then it'll be exam time

I registered for Microsoft's second chance (hoping not to need it!) and used the validation code, but nothing appeared on the final payment screen - was it supposed to? As I said, I hope I don't need it, but I've heard too many stories of people not using it?

Firstly good luck with exam

Nothing showed up for me on the final payment screen or on my emailed receipt. What I would recommend is phoning pro-metric up and confirming the code has been used.

I actually forgot to enter the code on one of my exams. All you do is cancel and rebook with the code so its not a major issue either way.

12 days is a lot of time. I'd recommend hitting some exam sims now and working out weak areas so that you can blitz the exam

Nearing the end of the studying - I wish I could have booked it before Easter but due to work commitments I can't so it had to be the week after!

 

Whenever I book an exam I always wish I had an extra weeks revision so maybe its a positive lol.

One week won't make a lot of difference in the grand scheme of things. You'll still be on course for the target in ur sig!!!!

Got mine booked for early april, same boat as you, ready to take it now but work commitments mean I have to wait till april.

 

Actually, since the 271, I've taken a month out to chill, spent another month learning about Mind Maps etc. as an aid/method to revise, and only spent about 6 weeks on actually studying, so here's hoping that it pays off.

With my timetable in my sig - that was the push to be honest, I gave myself that timeframe and have pushed to sit to it - here's hoping

Just thought I'd add I got 84% in my transcender exam earlier tonight
Configuring & Troubleshooting Connectivity for Apps (IP stuff and Firewall) and Configuring Application Security (perms, IE security, macro security) were both areas I didn't get OK marks on (ie, not above 80%)

 

That's what I was thinking.

I wanted to give it a couple of days before the actual exam to try some mock exams out - new questions and all that - just in case I needed to reschedule - just got 90% on the next one, so I'm pretty comfortable about taking it on Friday.

 

Took it this afternoon - 40 questions, just over 50 minutes - 884.

Now I've got my MCDST !!!
