    Hi All,

Great site and have read many posts.

I am currently looking for a 1st line IT Support type role and one thing that keeps striking me is the number of Employers who are wanting 1st, 2nd and sometimes 3rd line experience for 1st line roles, or working experience within a particular field for a 1st line role.

Now, I accept the market for all jobs is poor at the moment and Employers believe they can get more experience for a lot less money, but will this create problems for them in the future?

I see two things happening as the market picks up over the next two years:

1, The best employees are happy ones! Those experienced IT Technicians being paid peanuts are surely not going to go that extra mile as a novice would if they feel undervalued?

2, As soon as a new opportunity comes along, those with experience will jump ship to better paid jobs, potentially leaving employers with a serious gap as other experienced staff also leave at the same time?

Just a thought and wondered what others might think on this subject.

    Thanks.
