I decided to go for self study route in pursuit for the SJCP certification...

I know it's a long way to go. sigh!

That's why I'm here today to ask for guys who did the same way,

What are the best books around, or any input that could help me to reach my goal!

It's been awhile since I studied for the SCJP certification, and the books I used are obsolete. However, APress books are usually pretty good, and they have one that gets good reviews. That's the one I'd purchase if I were in your shoes.
