Noticed that the Wiltshire Branch of the BCS is having a careers day foucsuing on IT Security.

"The event is aimed at young and early career professionals who are new to this field. Interested students who wish to know more about the training opportunities available and want to develop further in this field are also welcome."

For those who may be interested in going, full details here

Sounds interesting as security is the area I am presently considering going into long term.
Shame that all breaks and networking sessions would go like this:
"So what do you do/who do you work for?"
Me: "I'm a customer service chump and don't even have my first I.T job yet"

    Certifications: A+, MCSA: Windows 7, 70-640, 70-642

I wouldn't approach it with pre-conceived ideas. Generally BCS meetings are pretty well attended and run. If you have concerns or are interested I suggest you make contact with them - you may be pleasantly surprised !

The BCS (or the IET) aren't there just for people already in IT, they are there for a wide range of people - for people who want to get into IT to CIO's (and above) :)
