I have finally booked the 640-607 as the local exam center has re-opened. So 12th August at 09:00 BST will see me sat in front of the exam PC ready to be whopped! Having spent so long with the MS exams this should be a change!

Are you absolutely positive those boots are a good idea? I suppose they've brought you this far, maybe they deserve a bit more glory.

Moved the exam to the end of Sept ... not happy with my studies at the moment

Sandy (whatever happened to McSmoothie?), don't push yourself before you're ready. I think I mentioned elsewhere that I put off my CCNA exam from last August/September to January because I wasn't ready. True, I don't have an 11 month old keeping me up at night, but I just wasn't getting all the different pieces to pull together. Even now, it's hard for me to study for the 70-210. What with working all day, trying to work through my e-mails/forums, researching technical articles I've committed to write for a linux site...frankly, I get tired. I know how it goes.

It's better to put if off than to rush in and not pass. Hang in there, Sandy.
