    Morning All

Weve recently deployed Avaya Wifi Phones into our company, but were having an issue where when roaming the building the phones are dropping out between the Access Points. Only way to solve the issue and reconnect is usually by waiting or tuning the phone off and on. All the Access points on our private network that the phones are set up for are set to use channels either 1, 6, 11 and have same SSID.

Just wondered if anyone had come across a similar issue and possible fix? Ive got a feeling we just having too many APs overlapping, as we have both Private and public wifi points

Ive tried changing modes, "B", "G" etc, unfortunately the phones are Avaya 3641 and cant use "n"

Any ideas? its becomming a pain

Best bet would be to contact your supplier if you just purchased them.

What's the wireless setup? Controller-based, which brand?

Contacted supplier and it seems they did warn us of the possible issue before we got them............I wasnt aware of that as Im the new guy:)

Access Points are just some cheap devices which tbh have been fine for the wifi, and been here for around 2 years but I guess we need to upgrade them anyway. We dont have controller as far as Im aware, the APS are just WPA2 and set up individual but with same SSID, and channels raning between 1, 6, 11..............
