Hey guys, here we go again...You probably have noticed that I'm following the MCDST exam objectives to study. I've done an unattended installation of Win XP Pro. Next chapter, RIS. Can it be done using VPC 2007? How can i know if my computer (and subsequently VPC) has an RIS-compliant network card or a PXE-enabled network interface?

Dont see why not mate. In one of the screenshots you posted it had DHCP on the boot screen which suggests it was booting from the (virtual) NIC.

Yes the virtual NIC is PXE compatible for use with RIS services and you can also use a RIS bootable floppy
