    Zim,

funny enough i asked someone yesturday who has used IPCOP and Smoothwall and they said both are very good, powerful apps.

    IPCOP more user friendly?

its very user friendly! i setup it up in no time.. i only made a DHCP server out of it cause im very new.. runs on 300-500mhz machine.. 32mb ram and 300mb hdd.. so if you looking for a cheap user friendly money saver on a DHCP server (yeah im trying to get rid of MS!!) try this!

PS it works in VMWare too! - you d/l an iso - boot the cd and away you go! they got good documentation too!
