    Hi guys

I hadn't posted any thread from many days. I was searching for job as IT entry level but no luck so I decided to have some experience in other fields I can do like office administration, so applied for some jobs and got a interview call. Now I am bit confused as wat to wear. should I wear a skirt suit, which would be more formal or some thing else suggest pls.

A skirt suit should be ok. Let us know how you get on, plus you never know what jobs will lead to IT :)

You'd be surprised. I took a 6 months Customer Service Admin job after leaving Uni, and was spotted reading computer magazines in my breaks. I was then asked to help with small tasks like changing backup tapes, and assisting users with Office Apps, before being given a chance to help the IT Dept. full time for 6 months. 2 years later, I've moved to a new place, done 18 months as a Tech, and I've just been promoted to Senior Tech.

Key is, keep an ear out for opportunities, and get to know your IT dept, E.g. ask for their advice re: next steps to take, what's their job like, etc.

    Good Luck!

yea I kno admin job is not a job where I can't fully explore my IT skills but it will fill the gap of experiences in my CV and along with a job I can search for IT roles with more confidence.

I got my first taste of work based IT by deputising for the local IT dept when I was an admin officer.

    I'd be careful about wearing a skirt suit if you're a man:blink but I suppose it's OK if you're a woman.
