    Hello!

I've interview tomorrow for a Junior Support position...
Currently I'm working for small IT support company and I've £16500 a year...
The new job's salary starts from £18k...but it's little bit far from my home...is it really worth to go for it ???

    Cheers

If it is a bigger company that could give you more exprience and you can afford to travel there you should.
exprience is worth it's weight in gold.

i'm currently trying to get into IT with no exprience and finding it really hard.

who know's with the right exprience and time you maybe able to work from home and not have to travel.
what ever you chose good luck.

Depends on what your current company is like...

Smaller companies sometimes have the advantage in that you don't have far to get to the top, so can be exposed to a lot more than you would when well-hidden behind many more roles in a larger company...

...but then if the smaller company is too small then you may end up having to take on more work and find it difficult to learn because you are trying to take on too much (spoken from experience)

If you are serious about looking though, attending the interview won't harm you - it'll mean that you're more prepared when a more suitable position / location pops up and you want to impress!!8)

My problem is I haven't been to interview for one year...
The last one I've been to was only technical interview...
Now the company is bigger so they'd probably ask different questions...any idea ??? :)

    Cheers

...make sure you know a bit about the company - size, what they are about. Their motto (if they have one) and how long they've been around.

...be prepared to answer why you want to leave your current role, why they sould employ you, and what you can bring to the new company...

...one recent question I was asked also was: what would you like to bring with you from your old company, and what would you like to leave behind?

Most of all. let your personality shine through and don't appear shy no matter how you feel the interview is going - keep smiling (but not too much or they may think of you as a nutter - lol)

It can't hurt to interview. If they offer you the job and you don't want it, you don't *have* to accept the offer. Sometimes interviewing is like exercising...you do it to keep yourself in shape.

    Absolutely...
If for nothing else, go to the interview and get the experience. See what they ask; understand what they are looking for. Get a ‘feel’ for the company/industry.

Don’t forget the interview goes both ways. They’re looking for the right person to join their team; but you’re looking for the right team to join.

    The best part:
If you don’t get it you have a better idea as to why, and it might be something you can improve. If you do get it, you’ll feel good for it – no matter if you take it or not.
