Hey all I've got a couple of interviews for IT support apprenticeships lined up over the next week, any suggestions on questions I could ask in particular there is a job at my local hospital I am interested in so any questions for this would be mega useful?

Ask questions that interest you? It depends on the job and the tasks at hand. Always good to ask about your responsibilities, training, vacation, if there's any travel, anything about the company that you find unclear or interested in, etc..

If it's an apprenticeship, you would not be expected to know a huge amount, as that's what they are there to teach you.

In a hospital, you will get a lot of IT specialists, so would you get a chance to work across the fields ... on/with the helpdesk, critical care, telephone, network, telephony, DBMS, coding etc.? Is it in a rotation, or would you get to choose which one you are happiest with?

Is it likely you would get a full-time job after finishing the apprenticeship?

Presumably there is some day release to college? When/where?

What technologies do they use, is there anything that you could read up on or try-out that would help should you start the job? Where should you concentrate most of your efforts before you start? (It helps to look very eager to learn!)
