Does anyone remember that BBC1 programme on IT Training companies??

Baba O'reily recorded it and sent it to a load to people via PM. (see thread) But I can't find the file

I was wondering if anyone has still got it???

If so can you post me the link here or through PM

After searching through the thread there's a link to the BBC website to download the video. It's real payer and although I loave real player because of those dam adverts I installed it on my laptop, just to download the video....What a waste of time because there is no video clip only some womens voice saying

"Sorry we can't bring you the programme you requested"

So has anyone still got a copy?

The other question that came to mind was does anyone know of any other TV programme that covered IT training companies??

Have you tried searching on YouTube and Google Video ?

 

Yeah I have already tried search engines and youtube. I either get a lists on BBC inside out articles or a list on IT companies and how to sign up to them. But no documentary!

Gutted!

 

Although just searching through you tube and found this video on hacking, produced by the BBC inside out

To download the file you need to select the free section (clicking on the free button)

which takes you to another page (with a countdown) once the time has finished you will see a link to download the file. But first you need to answer the security question and you must enter the code shown on the page (similiar to google span questions). then you can download the file.

cant watch it gets to about 1 min in and pop up says windows media cant play this file is corrupted any ideas guys.

 

Try VLC, Worked for me. Interesting vid, but then we all knew this type of training company was out there. They prey on those who don't know about IT and certs, not nice.

Yep, like a moth to light...tragic really!

But then again if the person who wants to get into IT should have some knowledge of what a computer is? Or even what products/software they need to use?

On that video, the guy "Dave" the cold door salesman, clearly didn't know the product he was selling, he didn't even know what version of software the Training Provider uses. It's not until later on we discover he's been hired by the TP almost like an actor! I can't believe he stated they use Dreamweaver version 3 when they actually use Dreamweaver 8. What a muppet!


But what can't understand is why Watchdog don't clamp down on these TP's?

I had 2 people, 1 from CT and the other from NITLC both stated I could get a job in IT that paid £35k per year even with no work experience
