Target Audience

Candidates for this exam support medium to very large computing environments that use Microsoft Windows 7. They are responsible for setting the strategic direction for the client computers, the supporting infrastructure, and the applications. Candidates for this exam have at least 3 years of experience installing, configuring, and administering clients in a Windows networked environment, and also have experience deploying operating systems and applications. Candidates should be familiar with the client administration capabilities of Windows Server and familiar with management tools such as the System Center suite of products.

Additionally, the candidate should be able to demonstrate the following skills:

1. Analyze the supporting infrastructure and make recommendations to meet business goals
2. Evaluate new technologies
3. Manage client configuration and life cycle
4. Plan, implement, and document client deployment
5. Test operating systems and enterprise applications
6. Evaluate, provision and deploy service packs and updates to clients
7. Monitor client systems
8. Report on client systems such as licensing compliance
9. Resolve Tier 3 escalations related to client configuration
