Is it worth seeing at the cinema?

Seems to be a lot of talk about this film and I must admit Tom Hanks films are usually good (Saving Private Ryan) well except that one were he's stuck on an Island and talks to a football...mad or what.

I've seen the trailer and I think it looks good

 

It's not out here until the 19th i believe

There looks to a lot of good films out in May Xmen 3 looks like good SE. I am surprised to see another fast 'n' furious film though.

There is supposed to be a hidden code within the bible that predicts huge events, even catastrophic events.

 

i have just had a look at this film on IMDB... is this the same dude that did the paintings backin the day? leonardo da vinci or someone else?

 

I would think it would be the same person, Da Vinci in his later life when he wasn't painting as you know also invented and he was a scientist, so it wouldn't surprise me that he was someway involved.

No offence CM but do you live in a darkened room with no outside commucication? This is the only way I can believe someone does not have one tiny inkling of an idea what the Da Vinci code is about. It's sold about three squillion copies, there's recently been a very high profile court case about it and there's been someone on the news every day for the last year claiming the film's blashpemous and should be banned. How could you have missed all that .

 

non taken... i spend more of my time in my room, the only news i hear of is what's on the web, but thats some times... but the good news is, my energy saving bulb helps me save a little bit on my electricity...

last year was a bad year - had way too many problems... they only good news that i had last year, was that im still alive and not going no where

...and i seriously i tell you no lie, i did not know what the film was about, last week someone at work was talking about, she said something about it being not true, and i have had a look at a website and was quite impressed...

 

It's a good book as well. The controvosy was caused by the book allegedly passing itself of as fact. I personally don't believe it does this, I think it's more to do with people being stupid and forgetting they're reading a novel. Next thing you know, they're going around trying to convice people it's true/untrue. Your friend is a case in point. Ask her when was the last time she tried to convince someone that "Shopaholic Ties the Knot" wasn't true, then ask here why she is treating any other novel (definition: a work of fiction) differently.

 

Yep, he's done loads of great films, Backdraft, Apollo 13, and A Beautiful Mind spring to mind.
