    WOO
I've just booked 3 exams... quite random really!

I know I procrastinate so I thought, sod it! Get em booked whilst I have money and can be arsed!

Sooooooo -> Exam Schedule for the rest of the year is:

    14th Oct - 71-685, 71-686 - Windows 7 free exams :biggrin
30th Oct - 70-621 - Thought I'd upgrade my MCDST and get 2 shiny new certs! I'm going to be going over the Vista stuff anyway for my 71 exams, so thought why not.
16th Nov - Security+ - A nice little (but expensive!) break from the MS garble
30th Nov(probably resched to early DEC but won't let me atm) - 70-299 - to complete my MCSA: Sec

I'm going to be spending most time on 621, Sec and 299 as the W7 ones were free.. But out of all of them I reckon 299 will be the killer!

..and yes, I am prepared for no social life :p

Well done mate, I was happy to welcome you into the MCSA club but even happier to welcome you into the "No Social Life" club :D

I'm taking both free W7 exams on the same day too, sod it, they were free and hopefully the material overlaps "considerably"! I'm hoping!

I find getting the exams booked like you have stops you putting it off. Good luck, Jim

... i bloody feel like you mate and i bet i look as bad aswell :p

I'd gone through the 620 enough and thought, right lets see what the 622 has...yeah.. it's a bit more than i expected. so im having to hardcore that for exam next week.

i'm 'meh' on the 299 but im doing fine on the Sec+
I have some materials from 'firebrand training' which was given to me by a new IT manager, which are quite useful... more snapcards tho than training

although i dont have commitments like you, i do have things on the side which i have to tend to aswell and going sleep around 2am each night isnt good :/ very draining.

    how's things with you?

Yeah its safe to say my modelling days are over now after the year I've had ha ha

I think you are right to cram for 621 because I'd imagine the Pro exams would be a step up from 620, which was fairly easy IMO or at least very well worded put it that way.

Best advice I can give you is totally forget 299 because to be honest, I found it just slightly below 291 in difficulty. Could be just me but it covers a few of the things 291 did but in a lot more detail such as securing remote access and certificates etc.

I really enjoyed the Security+ stuff, not sure if it was simply because the questions aren't a page long in the exam unlike other vendors. . . :D

I'm doing great thanks mate, stopped crying about 294 and back revising for it again. Exam 'RE'booked for the 5th so feeling more positive. Lately I've struggled to keep motivated with my studies because I had hoped to cut them right down to something normal like 6 hours per week(an hour mon-thur then 2 on a sun). I'm getting back into the swing of things tho. I'm even considering going in for my CEH in between Christmas and New Year if I finish my MS studies. Work paid for some DVD's Pete on here recommended and I'm itching to watch them

I do all nighters all the time now. I know its daft and I'm not clever for doing it but what can you do. My 7 month old likes to wake up a lot in the night . . Make sure you get to bed early the week of your exam and you'll be fine.
