    Hello there,

As you all know that MCDST will be retired in March and my question is when this happens, what is going to happen with the jobs or the companies that are still using Windows XP, are they going to switch to Vista or Windows 7 as soon as the course retire or is gone to take some time.

The reason that I'm asking this is, I want to do the course and wanted to know if is worth it.

Thank you so much for your help.

XP will be around for a while mate. If you get the chance go for the MCDST and perhaps upgrade to a Windows 7\Vista cert later on.

We still use XP in our company and will do so for at least another 18 months. I would agree with Sparky.

Just because the MCDST is being retired doesn't mean companies are going to stop using XP.

My company still uses XP and has no plans to change even when Microsoft stop supporting XP in 2014.

Perhaps best to wait and see what 2014 brings, there may be some £££ going to upgrade the OS.

Considering Microsoft will continue to provide XP downgrade rights till 2020, XP will likely be around for a long time to come.
