PS+ isn't free really though as you can only play the games whilst you have an active subscription, though the XB1 has now addopted the same tactic which is disgusting.

 

I was going to say, my XB1 Gold games are only available whilst I have an on going sub, not really an issue as I will do so for the life of the console but.. well you know.

 

Xbox one has rayman for free at the mo. It is graphically great to look at and funny to play. You have to do stuff like get your green friend to poke a monster in the eye or even tickle them so you can get past, also the wind up punch is hilarious. There is also a collection of mini challenges/games as well, looking forward to playing some of my friends at the footie game in there.

If I game it's not really on any of the consoles (we just took the Wii out of the lounge, leaving the PS3 and XB1 in there), for me gaming properly is PC gaming.

 

Never going to happen, I was looking into it also, had to laugh really. This streaming games thing they are trying to introduce just wont work... Sony have already brought something like that out.. you would need incredible internet for it to be viable, which alot of people dont have.

 

You have to consider that until relatively recently so to speak most of us had no internet, and look at the speeds of it now. It will become a relatively viable option to most, where I really think it will struggle will be true high def as that is quite a lot of data and also keeps getting bigger and bigger.

 

They would have to implement a way gamers could trade games they purchase. They tried to make the XBOX ONE fully digital and nearly committed career suicide.

 

They will get round it with share play in order to allow you to play others games, as for resales of games I suspect that will either disappear, and they will probably offer games cheaper initially to get players on board and say they can do it as they are cutting production costs, or alternatively when you buy a game, you will get a serial number and I would guess they would limit that serial number to allow a game to be downloaded/activated twice, so you can "sell" it on once then it becomes null and void etc.

They will definitely find a way round it though, most likely largely through cost.

Hey we will sell you our latest greatest next gen consoles for just £100, but in order for us to do it games will be all digital and no resales.

£100? I really want to play next gen, I can get over no resales, I'm in!

Pretty much how I imagine the thought process going! Lol.
