Went by IC today for the first time in months - was trying to dig out an old post - and it looks like its down. What happened over there?

I saw Turgon joined here the other day - but hasn't posted since then - has there been some kinda nuclear event over there?

Freak lost the domain name due to a snafu and I guess he couldn't get it back.

 

Wow - that sucks!

Did he just forget to renew it or was there some more nefarious activity going on?

I note that the URL now throws up an ad site - it looks like there are rotating ads for Viagra, braindumps and fake anti-spyware utils.

I'm guessing there's not much point in getting IC back up and running under that name, but I wonder if Freak's going to put another site up...

 

I don't know what happened exactly, but my understanding is that it was accidental. Unfortunately once those scum bucket cybersquatters get hold of a name... by the way, I've got leadsin.com for sale if anyone's interested... ahem.

Anyway, he sent out an email and had site up under another domain name for a while, but traffic came to a crawl. So guess he just decided it wasn't worth the effort any longer. Either that or he keeled over, as I haven't seen him post anywhere since.
