The thing you have to figure out first is: how many routers, how many switches ? How many workstations and how many servers ? Also what kind of network topology is required for this project ?

Once you figure that out, the only thing to do from there is to draw a diagram with all the devices and cabling in place, then configure the devices with the appropriate ip addresses, subnet masks and default gateways. After that, you configure the appropriate routing protocol for the routers and then that's it.

Probably take you about an hour.

As headache says - what topology is required? What contraints are put on you for separating different departments onto different networks?

Your question as asked is too vague.

On the information given, why can't you just have a switch for each floor? And why would you need a router?

dear friends i only want a schema of a LAN

not for a customer or a corporation just a schema with
    IP ADDRESSES OK?

IT IS NOT IMPORTANT HOW MANY SWITCHES WORKSTATIONS PLEASE MAKE IT FOR ME
I THINK IT TAKES FIVE MINUTES OF YOU

ALSO NO PROTOCOL WILL BE SPECIFIED ..

JUST IP ADDRESSES MAY BE SUBNET MASKS AND SCHEMA OK?

If it only takes 5 mins why can't you do it?

And you say you haven't specified a protocol, but want IP addesses, which pretty much specifies the basic protocol!

I think you will get more help from the people here if you at least have a try. Then you can ask if you are on the right line.

Before any of that though....Try to figure out EXACTLY what the question is asking you to do!!! sit back....think....make notes on a piece of paper....figure out what they want you to do. Look into WHY different segments are used in a network, then figure out who should be on a particular segment, Then ask yourself.."does each segment have the same network address or different, and WHY???

Honestly mate, we will be doing you a disservice if we just give you the answers.:biggrin

    Floor One
    Servers and workstations
    Switch

    Floor Two
    Workstations
    Switch

Place switches where needed to link back to servers on Floor One.

So, floor one, has one server, and five workstations. Switch connects workstations to servers. Floor two has five more workstations linked to a switch. The switch on floor two has a link back to the switch on floor one.

There's a start for you, but as someone has already said, try and do it for yourself then post back, you will find that people here are more accommodating to those that have already started to help themselves.

YOU ARE RIGHT MAN BUT I CAN'T ORGANIZE TO CONNECT
    WHICH TO WHICH.

FOR EX. IF I BEGIN LIKE BELOW

1- FIRST FLOOR - WORKSTATIONS (ABBR. WS.)
    THEN CONNECT THEM TO SWITCHES

SOMEONE SAID SERVERS BUT SERVERS CONNECTION TO
    WS OR SWITCHES ?

2- SECOND FLOOR WORKSTATIONS AND SWITCHES

LET'S ASSUME I DID FIRST AND SECOND THEN SHOULD I
    CONNECT FIRST TO SECOND ?

AND LET'S MAKE IT UP TO 4 OR 5 FLOORS

AFTER THE SECOND FLOOR WHAT SHOULD I PUT?
