    Hi all...

Thanks for the kind comments... I am on a bit of a roll at the moment... feeling very dedicated to self improvement..

I am going to finish being CompTIA's bitch real soon!! Then the fun can begin.. without actually realising it, I have gone through a very good kind of cert progression.. starting through basics to client and after the ones I listed in my first post its server time!!

Fortunately I have a girlfriend who is very understanding...!

contraz! so how long did it took you to study for the ccna? I'm trying to finish up the mcsa before I'm heading for the ccna? mcse just seems too effy for me right now with the changes ms is doing with their new certs.

    Hi all again!

Zenboy - I was not ever intending to do CISCO certification, I was just very fortunate to be offered a free set of CISCO courses for the CCNA - 1 week a month for 4 months, 1 week for each semester. (But after the 1st week, I knew this was the most interesting/best course I had ever done!)

After semesters 1+2 I took CCNA Intro, and after semesters 3+4 CCNA ICND... I started the first week in November, then week 2 in December, then INTRO exam in January, then week 3 in January, week 4 in February, and the exam ICND last night!

I could have done it quicker if I had wanted to, but I did other stuff inbetween the gaps... if you are self study I think it could be achieved within 2-3 months with some hard study if you were a complete beginner to networks...

Oh, so you took it college. how much of networking experience have you had before taking the test? I'm curious because I'm more into networking than working with ms product. I figure since I've been supporting ms product for over 7 years, I would like to change my direction into my networking side. I figure I would start on the ccna around october.

    Congrats dude! :)

I see you have a N+ also, would you say this made some aspects of the CCNA easier?

Trip - why are you "hiding" your certifications ? You used to have CCNA (and more, I believe) in your profile - how come no more ?

    2€ curious :)
