How longs a switch-port been up for ?

    I'm not sure if there is a command - but i wanted to see how long a ports been up for - i can see how long a swith has been up for - sh version and i can see the last time some data passed through the port - sh interface - but just wondered if there was command for port up time ? :blink

    What switch/IOS are you using? So far as I know, later revs of the IOS on certain switch models may show this in the 'sh int link' command, which may show uptime. For earlier versions, unless you're logging to syslog or an snmp server you're probably out of luck

    Hi dude - thanks for the reply yeah that command works, but shows me how long a ports been down for - was trying to lok at how long its been up as someones saying there was a switchport problem this morning - but i think the port has been up all day ;) Thanks for your help though mate - appreciate it ;)
