How long didy you take?

    I know everyone is different, but how long did you take to complete the A+?

    I did my A+ in the old route, however this is how long it took me:

    First exam: Studied 1 month for this then took & passed exam Nov 2003
    Second exam: Took that exam in July 2004

    So in total about 9 months. This was my first professional IT certification.

    Can I suggest you take some time to have a good look around these forums.

    If you look at the A+ forum listing here you'll see a pinned thread on Books and Resources plus others that you will find useful. The same is true if you look at the other forums.

    Part of IT is being good at problem solving and research ! :p

    Did the old route in 2006.
    Hardware in Jan06 & Software in Mar06
    But had, had prior experience in IT before taking the exams.
