I have some pictures that I want to reduce to 640*480 to be able to send them in an email. Does anyone know how I can do this?
Does Windows come with a program.

    Thanks,

Grab a copy of Irfanview. Will do an amazing amount of things to pictures.

    Harry.

Edit: They don't have to be that small to fit into an email - you could turn up the compression in a JPEG if you needed a smaller file.

Even Paint can resize a graphic... Image > Stretch/Skew, change the percentages (equally) to something less than 100%, and voila!

That said, if you've got a more professional graphic rendering application, I'd use that instead.

The easiest thing to do is grab a free copy of Picasa 2. Not only does it organize pics, but it'll automatically resize anything through your email client (even recognizes Thunderbird!). Way cool free stuff!

    Photoshop
    Paint - free
    Photobucket - free, online

Couldn't you ZIP or RAR the pics and then send them ?

Hotmail has its own built in zip software, which means you can send a lot of pics.

If you have MS Office installed you can use MS Office Picture Manager (on the toolbar, Picture->Resize) or you can download Windows XP Power tool Image Resizer.
