    Hi all,

I was just wondering how you'd calculate hourly pay from an annual salary? I've only ever had salaried work, so I'm not sure how you'd calculate it. Would you take holiday into consideration? Are quoted figures usually pre/post tax?

I'm asking out of curiosity more than anything else. I often hear people talking about their pay in per-hour amounts, and I'm never quite sure how that translates into an annual figure.

    Thanks,

    Gav

Depends how many hours work work each week.
Divide by 1800 for 35 hour week or 2000 for 40 hour week. These aren't the exact figures, butt will give you a reasonable enough answer
