    Hi, just joined up.

I found this site whilst trying to gain some inside knowledge into Computeach.

I may be in the wrong place as most stuff here seems to be network based and I am trying to learn programming but thought maybe someone could help me out or at least point me to a site that can.

I had an assessment with Computeach I was advised to take the courses to give me an MCAD qualification and then a MCSD in Visual C# .net. After some research I turned down their placement due to the extortionate £5200 price.

Basically I am trying to teach myself as much as possible but I am not really too sure where to start or get advice. I am currently working my way through Visual Basic .net with the aid of what seems to be a pretty good book (could be wrong) called 'Microsoft Visual Basic .net Step by Step' by Michael Halvorson from Microsoft Press.

Any advice would be hugely appreciated.

I apologise if I am posting in the wrong section on the forums or even if I am posting on the wrong forums alltogether.

Hiya. Welcome aboard and good luck with the MCAD! There might be a network/hardware bias here (it's our bread and butter!) but there are still some programmers here (not me :( )so you'll still get excellent help and support.

    Hi Cheese.
Hope you manage to fulfil your desires. I personally believe that most courses are achievable going the self study route. This forum is a great start. Yes, £5200 is a lot of money :ohmy
