    Which MCTS are you looking to do? MCTS is the credential that you get for passing one of the new MS exams (the exams on the MCTS route).

    Although this isn't a hard and fast rule, is there a reason why some new members don't want to post an introduction in the relevant area?

    Sorry if I sound a little rude and don't say hello, it is because I only say hello and welcome when someone posts an introduction in the relevant area, I wouldn't go into a room of strangers without introducing myself properly first. It's just the way I am feel free to ignore this little nit-pick if you so wish :D
