Hi I'm new, and in the midst of changing my career to all things IT! it will be a while before i can start any of the courses you guys are doing, i'm only just starting the ECDL this week but I wanted to get a better understanding of what I'm letting myself in for!

i work in the health/care sector but have been wanting a change for some time! I love computers, not sure which direction i will eventually head off in but at least i've made a start by signing up for the ecdl
i need new and varied challenges, i'm so bored with what i do now!

thanks ken yes i have to master the basics first hence why i picked that, i nearly picked clait but the chap at the open learning centre said the ecdl was better, sounds like he was right!
I don't intend to stop there though, not sure where I will end up eventually but looks like there's plenty on offer course wise out there!

hopefully starting the introductory module tomorrow, they're all snowed up today so fingers crossed!

 

good luck, just to let you know that you do not have to do lots of courses to become certified you can study in your own time if you prefer without paying large amounts to course providers.
