I joined with advent towards the end of last year im actually working towards a MCDBA but at the moment im still doin my a+ studies. ive read through all the course material and have had practical lessons which i thought were very useful as i could actually pull a computer apart and see how it actually worked, it puts it into a better perspective than reading it in black and white, any way i was just wondering if anyone else out there is studying with advent or imparticular doing a MCDBA i feel that its taking me ages just to do this one unit when they advise 2 yrs for the whole course? hearing about other peoples thoughts and opinions would be great thanks.

im in the same boat as you pb. did you do your 2 day workshop at advent this week????

 

I know nothing about Advent, sorry, but the A+ is well worth doing .

Im with Advent aswell mate. I think the 2 yrs they rocommend would be really hard to achieve. How did you find your workshop, was Kam teaching ya?

 

hi Raffaz yeah it was Kam that was teachin us i found it really useful as id never actually physically worked on a computer before and i feel i learnt a lot from it. I know that i wont be able to do it in 2 years though as i work full time and have a very demanding 2 yr old so puttin in all the hours is quite difficult at the moment, hopefully when i come to do my exam tho i'll pass first time, have you already done the a+?

 

Yeah mate i finished my A+ in November, then done my MCP in January, and im doing MCDST next month. Have you swapped details with everyone on your workshop?
