hi to all members of CertForums,

call me Shin, and im here to get more advice as to wat i should do with my IT career. I stumbled into this forum by surfing the net for A+ and N+ course guidelines, and this happens to be the perfect place and will be delighted to stay.

I have been in and out of IT firms, temp contracts to permenent job roles, mainly in the positions of Engineering desktop pc's, customer service roles, call centre etc. From the last couple of months, i've been finding it quite hard to get into better IT based fields, probably cause im lazy... i dunno.. I am 25.

ANyways i know this aint the right place to discuss about employment issues ;p i'll be moving on.

Good luck looking for work - if the calls I'm getting from recruiters are owt to go by, you shouldn't have a problem getting work in London - I'm getting about four calls a day for contract and perm roles alike.

 

Hi Shin and welcome to CF. If you're serious about employment then start sending your CV via Jobserve UK and most recommended Jobsite UK. Please, make sure you advertise your CV on the sites and allow recruiters only to view it.

Then sit back and watch your mobile phone going off every so often when you least expect but put it on silent or vibrate mode.

Lastly, when you post your CV on the above web sites make sure you refresh each week i.e. re-edit your name, tidy CV as this would put you back up on top of the list of candidate looking for employment. Best wishes and lets know how you get on.

 

Zeb, what's it with Croydon with you as I would love to live in Croydon but can't afford the house prices at the moment. I would for now settle for Thamesmead owing to slightly cheaper house prices with a touch of greenland and peace
