    Hi Guys and Gals,

Just joined today so thought it best to say hello. I am looking at career change from sales to IT hence the reason for joining. Already I have found the forum very helpful as I was about to sign up with companies like Advent or Computech etc but after reading comments on here will do more research.

You guys will probably be shielding few questions from me for next few days while I research the best way to get training etc so thanks in advance to you guys for all help in future.

    Sunny

Thank you for the kind welcome. I am still looking at doing MCSE from somewhere but not sure where yet. I have no major IT experience but have been using pc's most of my adult life and can use all Office software and windows explorer etc reasonably well. I am looking at doing the course over next 1.5 yrs or so I can train as well as keeping my curent job.

Would welcome any advise from people that have been in similar situations.

Have you considered MCSA, it's a lot cheaper, can be done in a much shorter time frame and it is well respected in the industry. The CompTIA A+ and Net+ together count as an elective, which is a bonus if you decide to start at the beginning.

MCSA is a Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator - It's less technical overall than the MCSE but in reality for most people that don't already have an established background looking after Microsoft or other vendors server products it is more applicable.
