Hi there, just come across this site after looking for advice and info on A+. Thiinking of trying my hand at a classroom based course but looking round lots os people seem to be self learning....now i dont know which way to go so hopefully the answers are here....

Definetly self study its cheaper, your not limited to a time scale and its cheaper and you can't rip your self off.

The two books you need are compTIA A+ all in one exam guide 6th edition by Mike Meyers and PC Technician street smarts by James Pyles.

If you have the discipline, and want to save oodles of cash, then self-study is the way to go. I tried TP and self-study, and found the latter far more rewarding.

All the best, whichever way you decide to go...

 

Thanks for the advice guys, been looking around and i think you guys are right, self study could be the way forward. Im in no rush really so i can take my time with things and go at my own pace.
