We think it's great here too!

Enjoy the forums! What kind of career change are you looking at? The support side of IT, or somewhere a bit more colourful?

Cool - what kind of knowledge do you have in IT already? Before you go chucking your money at a provider, why don't you grab some books off Amazon, get an old PC, and have a bash at the A+?

If you have a search around the site, it's a 'tried and tested' method of getting certified, the cheaper way. (I'm not knocking TPs - I'm with one - but with the 'entry level' Certs, it's cheaper to get your feet wet than jump in the deep end with a company; ie, give them money for a set course, then decide you want to try a different branch of IT)

Just my 0.02, but I hope you have fun studying, whatever you decide to do :)

I was going to do a+ etc through a training provider and after being persuaded by BM to go self study I can really reccomend it, just by a book (obvousley on the subject youre doing) read it then go through again taking notes, then when your prpared take the exam(s).

Its vastly cheaper aswell so you have more time for beer:D
