I'm a bit of an addict for passing exams, have many popular certs such as mcp, mcse, comptia etc. Would be happy to give advice to newbies, and love to hear from you experienced multiple choice gurus

    Cheers

Becoming certified was supposed to make me rich, now I'm half way there and have to upgrade just to stay where I am

I hope to become comfortable in IT :D After years of crappy dead-end jobs I want to shine for once, sick of hiding my light under a bushell.

What's this post all about? Have I missed something - or are we being duped by our friends on the sub-continent???....again?????

The title is based on someone being interested in training materials and companies (even though they have MCSE, MCPs etc) but...yes but - the poster then posts on the following:

Advice is offered to newbies, and then

IT certs making one rich, be he has to upgrade to stay where he is...

Can someone point out what that has to do with materials, training companies etc????

I'm getting tired of these very "odd" posts that do not make any sense! Is there anything the admins can do!!!

Interesting that the IP he posted from is a UK ISP... My guess is that he's a braindumper brought over from the subcontinent by a training provider.

    Brom_star,

You are a multiple choice expert after all the certs you have gained, well done.

We look forward to the help you keep referring to.

What certs has he gained? "MCP, MCSE, CompTIA"? No MCSE should feel the need to list MCP after getting the MCSA or MCSE... and CompTIA's not a cert. And there's nothing in his profile.

But what if you have MCP's that don't apply to MCSE? For instance I have 70-217 and 70-098 which doesn't apply to My MCSA.:blink

I agree with what you're saying, but I know people who are only an MCP yet have 8 or 9 different MCP's under their belt that don't add up to anything!

Brom hasn't listed them in his/her profile, but listed them in the thread above.

So then they're just an MCP. However, one cannot be an MCSE without already being an MCP. It's redundant (and repetitive) and redundant to say so. ;)

That's what I said: "MCP, MCSE, CompTIA". Again, CompTIA's not a cert.
