    Hi guys,

Been lurking on the forums for quite a while now, and what a great resource and community it is :)

I come from a mixed employment background, did a few years as the IT Systems Analyst for Ringwood Brewery (and running the IT Dept for 2 days a week covering the part time IT Manager) whilst at uni studying business, and now running the family pub! Working towards a few IT certs over 2011 to keep options open for 2012.

Starting with A+, for which I am taking both exams tomorrow afternoon - reading the various material over the past 3 weeks proved to be fairly painless thanks to a fair bit of prior experience.

Then looking to do Network+ (again, have covered the majority in the past), followed by MCDST.. then not too sure. As everyone comments, you dont want to over certify beyond experience, however due to my very broad IT background and a year for getting certs done I would like to get some other certs done too - any recommendations?

    Wish me luck!

    Cheers, Alex

The answer is always the same: certify on whatever you have experience doing. :)

Just finished 220-701 with a score of 849/900 so damn happy with that!

Pretty much as I expected, no need to do any calcs or similar. Was disappointed on some VERY badly worded questions and duplicated questions.

Overall a good experience, 220-702 in an hours time!

Yeah, they've long been known for their poorly worded questions. But it doesn't look like it affected your score too much! Congrats on the exam!

And the survey says........ A+ Certified!

    Finished 220-702 with 835/900 :D

A little more challenging as it was more of a case of "what do you do next" but definitely better on the question front! Although one Question which im certain that none of the answers were correct unless you assumed that the router in the question included a WAP!

    Onto Net+
