Hi welcome to CF,

I'm actually doing my A+ at the moment but its taken me a while to get through the book due to work commitments and getting married last year but getting closer to taking the exam soon then onto the N+.

I think most people use http://www.amazon.com/CompTIA-Network-All--Guide-Fourth/dp/0071614877/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1325715494&sr=8-1 this book by Mike Myers along with the Professor Messer's Free CompTIA Network+ Certification Training Course | Professor Messer - CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Certification Trainingvideos.
