Just thought I'd say hello to everyone. I'm about to start studying for the MCDST after getting advice from friends that work in the IT world and from reading the posts in the MCDST sub forum here.
Feeling a bit daunted, but i have been putting this move into IT off for about 5 years, due to a few
health problems and not wanting to start at the bottom. But I'm ready to get on with it now.

Hopefully i won't have too much trouble in passing both exams for the MCDST.

Nothing at the moment, though I am considering voluntary work of some kind later in the year.
I'm just getting myself back on my feet, MCDST is part of that process. I've been
tinkering with Windows for as long as i can remember. I've not done too badly on some of the
tests on the MS press books readiness review suite (69% most of the time with no study on about 45 questions with each test).
Which gives me an idea of just how much I've got to learn over the next few months. I plan to start studying properly from Monday for about 4 hours a day or more depending on my concentration levels.
