Hi All

I'm John, almost 48 and a self-employed driving instructor. I have previously worked in IT as an instructor, training adults for their NVQ levels 1,2 and 3 in Using information technology, which was basic windows packages for people returning to work following redundancy. I enjoyed the work, I wrote my own coursework and also had the responsibility of maintaining the equipment, but the pay was terrible. My 'clients' were unemployed and my glorious job title of 'senior IT instructor' attaracted a wage of under 11k p/a !

I've been a driving instructor for 6 years but I would really like to get into the IT profession and earn some decent money. Although I've been involved in training, I would like to aim for network engineering.

Hope to learn and contribute where I can.
