Hi All,

I have just signed up at CF.

My name is Ranjit. I am an IS professional with 18 years of work experience in Document Imaging and 7 years in Information Science. I hold a Bachelor's degree in EE&E, and two Master's degrees in Applied Science (Sound & Vibration Studies), and Library and Information Science.

I am planning to make a career re-alignment to the evolving field of RFID in Libraries. I am particularly interested in its use and non-use, applications, and issues relating to the security and privacy of patrons. I wish to bring together my formal education, training and gneral business management skills with a professional technical certificate in RFID+ to raise my competence to solve complex business problems; build advanced capabilities; and to keep abreast with the ongoing flow of change and new developments in the RFID field.

In order to meet with the specialized needs of this profession, and to be able to handle the challenges of "real" world work environments, I plan to obtain the A+, Network+, Security+, CCNA and RFID+ certifications over the next two years. I hope the interactions and communications that I will have with esteemed CF members would enable me to successfully reach my goal.
