Hi im dR. Just a quick message to introduce myself and say thanks for the all the help and information I've already gained through reading the excellent advice and support on the site.

I'm just about to embark on a self study program to gain A+ then N+ and Security+ with the intention to evaluate my options once these have been concurred. My personal experience with computers has come from ten years in the music industry dealing with installation and configuration of various music related gear into pc's and mac's. That coupled with general maintenance and trouble shooting for friends and family. Though obviously in the great scheme of things my level of experience is limited it has lead me to want to take my enthusiasm for computers hopefully into the professional IT world. Ive got a few old desktops and a laptop I can use to study with and ive just order all the suggest reading material for A+ and along with the tons of online info I reckon im set.

I look forward to becoming part of the community, learning and also sharing my experiences.
