Hello to everyone on the board

    Finally registered after lurking for a while. You guys have given me the motivation and push that I need to start working towards the MCSA certification exams. Just Purchased the MS Press Books(70-270, 70-290) and a network+ book(just to improve my networking knowledge but wont be taking the network+ exam).

    I'v done a few of the lessons but currently trying to figure out how to configure vmware server with windows 2003 server as a guest OS (dhcp/dns/AD Server). Did not understand phoenix's posts at first but I'm now going through the vmware documentation and his posts are starting to make sense (thank God... as I was about to start pulling my hairs out).

    My working background covers a little over 2 years of helpdesk/desktop/1st/2nd line experience. I know what I need to do my job but there is so much I dont know which I feel limits my input at work (especially on the networking aspect of my job).

    My current Job contract ends by the end of next month, so I'm also trying to find a new job too.

    Welcome to CF Nekky and good luck with getting to grips with the 270 and 290 material. Experimenting in VMWare is a good way to get started and the fact you are running into problems is a good thing! You will probably learn a lot more about a subject when you can't get something working, than if it just works the first time. :)
